What is a household?

A household in Sprocket consists of:

  • Parent/Guardians: the adults who manage the account

  • Players: the athletes connected to that household

A household can include multiple parents or guardians and multiple players.

Parent/Guardian access levels

Each parent or guardian in a household has an access level (Full Access or Limited Access) that controls what they can do when logged in.

To view which access level a parent or guardian has, see Viewing Parent/Guardian Access (Full vs Limited Access).

Common reasons families use Limited Access

Limited Access is often used when an adult needs visibility for coordination, but should not manage account-level actions. Common examples include:

  • A grandparent helping with pickup or dropoff

  • A babysitter or caregiver who needs schedule and messaging visibility

  • Another family member who needs event information

Families may also use Limited Access for other scenarios where someone needs to stay informed but should not manage account-level actions.

Players in a household

Players live under the household and are managed by the parents or guardians connected to that household. Players can also be invited to create their own login if they meet eligibility requirements.

Combining or splitting households

In some cases, a family may end up with separate parent or guardian accounts that need to be combined into the same household, or you may need to split a household into multiple households.

If your club needs help with either scenario, reach out to your Client Success team for assistance.

If you run into issues

If you are trying to support a household change and you cannot find the settings you need, it may be permission-based. Work with your club admin or your Client Success team to confirm your access and the recommended workflow for your club.
