Why Can’t I Manage Volunteer Tracking?

Learn why Volunteer Tracking options may not appear and how to confirm permissions and configuration settings.

If you cannot see Volunteer Settings, add volunteer tasks, or adjust volunteer points, this is usually a permissions issue.

Volunteer Tracking is controlled by a specific Calendar permission.

Before You Start

Volunteer Tracking features require the following permission:

Calendar > Volunteer Tracking

Without this permission, you will not be able to:

  • Add or edit volunteer tasks

  • Adjust volunteer points

  • Access Volunteer Settings

  • Use bulk editing for volunteer tasks

Step 1: Check Your Permissions

  1. Have another admin to your user profile.

  2. Review the assigned Roles and Permissions.

  3. Confirm that Calendar > Volunteer Tracking is enabled.

Step 2: Confirm Volunteer Tracking Is Configured

If you have the correct permission but still cannot manage volunteer tasks:

  • Reach out to your Client Success team to ensure that Volunteer Tasks is enabled for your club.

  • Confirm you are in the Calendar module.

  • Confirm you are viewing the correct program or team.

Step 3: Confirm You Are Editing the Correct Event

Volunteer tasks can only be added within:

  • The event modal in Calendar

  • Volunteer Tasks under Settings & Tasks

If you are editing a different module, volunteer options will not appear.

If You Run Into Issues

If you believe your permissions are correct but features are missing:

  • Log out and back in to refresh your session.

  • Confirm your role was properly saved after permission updates.

  • Ask another admin to confirm your permission settings.
