This article explains how to create reusable volunteer tasks that can be assigned to calendar events.

Before You Start

Make sure you have the Calendar > Volunteer Tracking permission.

Create a Saved Volunteer Task

  1. Go to Calendar > Volunteer Tasks > Settings & Tasks.

  2. Under Club Volunteer Tasks, click Add Task.

  3. Enter:

    • Name

    • Description

    • Point Value

    • Cancellation Period

  4. Click Save.

This task can now be assigned to any calendar event.

If You Run Into Issues

If you do not see Volunteer Tasks:

  • Have another admin confirm your permission includes Calendar > Volunteer Tracking.

Add Volunteer Tasks to an Event

  1. Go to the Calendar module.

  2. Create a new event or edit an existing event.

  3. In the event modal, locate the Volunteer Tasks section.

  4. Click Add/Edit.

  5. Enter:

    • Task Name

    • Description

    • Volunteer Points

    • Cancellation Period

    • Start and End Times

  6. Click Save.

  7. Save the event.

You can add multiple volunteer tasks to the same event.

Bulk Add Volunteer Tasks

To add the same volunteer task to multiple events:

  1. Go to Calendar > Actions > Bulk Editing.

  2. Filter and select the events.

  3. Click Bulk Actions.

  4. Choose Add Volunteer Tasks.

If parents cannot see volunteer shifts:

  • Confirm the event is published.

  • Confirm the task was properly added and saved.
