The Year over Year panel helps you compare program performance across seasons by showing side-by-side trends in registrations and revenue. It is designed for longer-term planning so you can understand how this year is tracking compared to last year, using the same types of programs and a comparable time period.
You can also hover over each bar in the charts to view the exact counts behind the visuals.

What the Year over Year panel shows
This panel displays two main comparisons:
Registrations: how many registrations you have this year compared to last year
Revenue: how much revenue you have this year compared to last year
The charts show bars for Last Year and This Year so you can see differences at a glance.
1) Choose what you want to compare
Navigate to Dashboard in the left navigation menu.
Locate the Year over Year panel.
Use the available selectors to define your comparison:
Program Type: choose the category of programs you want to review (or keep it set to All)
This Year’s Programs: select the programs you want included in this year’s comparison
Last Year’s Programs: select the program set you want to compare against
This lets you tailor the comparison so you are measuring similar programs year over year.
2) Set a comparable range
Use the Comparable Range dropdown to control the timeframe used for comparison. This is helpful when you want to compare performance at the same point in the season, instead of comparing a partial season to a full season.
3) Refresh the panel
After adjusting your selections, select Update to refresh the charts.
4) Read the charts and view exact values
The Registrations chart compares last year vs this year registration totals.
The Revenue chart compares last year vs this year revenue totals.
To see exact numbers for a bar, hover over the column in the chart.
Tips and best practices
Use the same or equivalent program sets for This Year’s Programs and Last Year’s Programs so your comparison is meaningful.
If numbers look unexpected, confirm the Comparable Range first. A different timeframe is one of the most common reasons totals do not line up.
Re-run the panel after you update program selections by selecting Update so the charts reflect your latest filters.
