What Is the Team Health Panel?

The Team Health Panel is a centralized dashboard available on the Teams Dashboard that provides a high-level view of the overall health of each team in a Core Program.

Each team receives:

  • A Team Health Score from 0–100

  • A status category: Healthy, At Risk, or Unhealthy

The score combines engagement, communication, performance, stability, and conduct signals into one simple indicator so club leaders can quickly identify teams that may need attention.

This tool is designed to guide conversations and support proactive leadership decisions. It is not intended to replace detailed reporting.

Where to Find It

You can access the Team Health Panel from:

Teams Dashboard on your Sprocket homepage.

From there, you can:

  • View all teams and their Health Scores

  • Click into a specific team to see supporting details

  • Review contributing metrics

How Team Health Scores Are Calculated

Each team’s score is based on weighted criteria. Clubs can adjust weighting in settings.

Team Chat Sentiment (20% default)

AI evaluates tone and positivity in team group chat messages.

  • No recent chat activity (30+ days) results in a neutral score (50%)

  • If no team chat was ever created, the system flags this and subtracts 5 points

This metric helps identify communication tone and engagement.

Direct Message Sentiment (20% default)

AI evaluates tone in direct messages between coaches, players, and parents.

  • If no direct messages exist in the last 30 days, a value of 70% is assigned

This helps surface satisfaction or tension in one-to-one communication.

RSVP Rate (15% default)

Measures the percentage of players who respond “Yes” to events.

  • Reflects engagement and participation

  • Can be combined with Attendance if enabled in Calendar Settings

Higher RSVP rates typically indicate stronger engagement.

Team Continuity (15% default)

Measures the balance of returning versus new players from the previous season.

Higher continuity often reflects:

  • Strong relationships

  • Positive team culture

  • Stable team experience

Coach Retention (15% default)

Measures the average percentage of players a coach retained from the previous season across all teams they coached.

This can help identify:

  • Coaching strengths

  • Retention patterns

  • Potential coaching concerns

Win Percentage (10% default)

Measures the percentage of games won in the current season.

This metric provides basic competitive context but is intentionally weighted lightly compared to engagement and culture metrics.

At-Risk Players (5% default)

Measures the percentage of players with suspended or restricted status.

This helps surface cultural or behavioral issues that may impact team experience.

Adjusting Team Health Settings

Club Administrators can adjust Team Health criteria under:

Teams > Team Health > Settings

From there, you can:

  • Enable or disable specific rating criteria per Core Program

  • Adjust the weighting of each criterion

This allows clubs to align the score with their priorities.

Access and Permissions

Access to the Team Health Panel is controlled by role permissions.

To grant access:

  1. Go to Roles & Permissions

  2. Enable Dashboards — Team Health Panel

Clubs may choose to limit access to executive leadership or selected administrators.

The panel is intended to support leadership conversations, not serve as a public report card.
