How to Setup an Adult Player Account

Learn how to configure an Adult Program correctly and guide adult players through adding themselves as a player from their member dashboard.

Adult programs in Sprocket are designed for situations where the adult is also the player and needs to register themselves. As an admin, your role is usually to make sure the program is configured correctly and to guide the adult player through adding their player profile from the member dashboard.

Before you start

This workflow depends on both account setup and program setup. Before you direct an adult player to add themselves, confirm the following:

  • The adult has created their User account (the login they use to access the site).

  • The program the adult is trying to register for has the Adult Program box checked on the program’s Basic Info tab.

  • The program’s invitation type is set to Open Program.

If any of these conditions are not met, the adult player will not see the prompt to enter their information from the dashboard.

Step 1: Confirm the program is set up correctly

  1. Navigate to Programs and open the program the adult is trying to register for.

  2. On the Basic Info tab, confirm Adult Program is enabled.

  3. Confirm the invitation type is Open Program.

Once this is set, eligible adults will see an option on their member dashboard to enter their information.

Step 2: Tell the adult player how to add themselves as a player

Have the adult player follow these steps on the club website:

  1. Log in using their User account.

  2. On the member dashboard, locate the Open Programs section.

  3. Select Enter Your Information.

  4. Complete the required player information:

    • Player First Name

    • Player Last Name

    • Date of Birth

    • Gender

  5. Select Save.

After saving, the adult player profile is added to their account and can be selected during registration for adult programs.

Troubleshooting tips

The “Enter Your Information” option does not appear

This is almost always due to program setup. Re-check:

  • The program has Adult Program enabled

  • The invitation type is Open Program

  • The adult is logged into the correct club and has created their User account

The adult can see the link but cannot complete the form

Have them confirm they are entering their own information and completing all required items. If the form still will not save, your Client Success team can help troubleshoot what is blocking the setup.

If you have confirmed the program is configured correctly and the adult still cannot add themselves as a player, reach out to your Client Success team for help reviewing the program settings and the user’s account state.

Why doesn’t the adult see “Enter Your Information”?

Does the adult need a separate player account?

No. They use their existing User account and add themselves as a player through the dashboard.

Can this work if the program is not set to Open Program?

No. The invitation type must be Open Program for the self-entry option to appear.

What if the form won’t save?
