Advanced Filters give you more control over how a report pulls data. They are especially useful when you need to narrow results using a specific demographic response or apply more precise logic than the standard Filters section allows.

When to use Advanced Filters
Advanced Filters are helpful when you need to:
Narrow results to a specific user or player demographic response
Filter based on how a value matches (for example, equals, contains, or starts with)
Build a more targeted report without changing the main filter setup
If you are not getting the right results with the standard Filters section, Advanced Filters are usually the next place to look.
1) Open the report you want to filter
Navigate to Reports in the left navigation menu.
Select Reports Center.
Find the report you want to adjust.
Select Configure next to the report.
2) Add an advanced filter
Scroll to Add Advanced Filters.
Select Add filter.
Choose the field category you want to filter on (for example, User Demographics, Player Demographics, Program and Registration Information, Club Information, Team Information, etc.).
Select the specific field you want to filter by (for example, Player Last Name).
3) Choose how the filter should work
After you select a field, choose how you want the report to match it. Common options include:
is equal to
is not equal to
starts with
does not start with
contains
does not contain
Then enter the value you want to match in the input box.
Example: To find players with a specific last name, set Player Last Name to is equal to and enter the last name.
4) Run the report
Select Run Report to refresh the results with your new advanced filter applied.
Tips for more precise results
If you are searching for a partial match, use contains instead of is equal to.
If results look too broad, combine Advanced Filters with tighter standard filters like program, registration, season, or date range.
If results look empty, confirm spelling and formatting of your filter value first, then widen the match type (for example, switch from is equal to to contains).
