Sometimes you need to find a previously sent email so you can confirm what went out, copy the content, or resend the message to a new group. The Email page includes filters that help you narrow results quickly.

What you’ll find in this article

  • Where to view sent emails in Sprocket

  • The most useful filters for narrowing your search

  • How to find an email sent to a specific person

Before you start

  • You’ll need the Communications > Admin Communications permission to access the club-wide Email log.

Where to find sent emails

  1. In the left navigation, go to Communications.

  2. Select Email.

This view shows your sent email history, along with details like subject, sender, type, category, and send status.

Search for a sent email using filters

At the top of the Email page, you can use filters to narrow down the list of results.

  1. Select Filters.

  2. Enter one or more filter values.

  3. Select Search.

Tip: Start with one filter first. If the results are still broad, add a second filter to narrow further.

Best filter to find an email sent to a specific person

If you are looking for an email that was sent to a specific recipient, the most effective filter is Sent To Email.

  1. Open Filters.

  2. In Sent To Email, enter the recipient’s email address.

  3. Select Search.

This is the fastest way to find the exact message tied to a specific person, especially when you do not remember the subject line.

Other helpful filters

Depending on what you remember, these filters can also help:

  • Sent Date: Narrow results to a timeframe when you believe the email was sent.

  • Email Subject: Useful if you remember part of the subject line.

  • Category: Helpful if you know the email’s purpose, like Club Communications or Event Information.

  • Type: Useful when you are searching for a specific kind of email, like Invitation or notifications.

What to do after you find the email

Once you locate the email in the Sent list, you can open it to review the content. If you need to resend a similar message, the easiest approach is usually to copy the content into a new email draft, adjust recipients, and send again.

If you run into issues

If you are not seeing the email you expected, widen your Sent Date range and confirm the spelling of the address in Sent To Email. If you think the email was system generated, turn on the System Generated filter and search again.
