Setting Up an Account on Behalf of a User

Learn how admins can create a parent or guardian account from the Manage Users page, send an invitation, and resolve common email conflicts.

If a parent or guardian is having trouble creating their own account, you can add them from the User Admin page and send an invitation so they can finish setup from their inbox.

Before you start

  • You must be an admin with access to manage users.

  • Confirm the user’s correct email address, since it will be used for login and club communications.

Add a new user and send an invitation

  1. In the left navigation, select Users.

  2. On the Manage Users page, select + Add User.

  3. Enter the required information:

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Email

  4. Choose how you want to finish:

    • Save: Adds the user to your club without sending an invitation yet.

    • Save and Send Invitation: Adds the user and sends an invitation email so they can complete account setup.

Troubleshooting

“Email already in use” error

If you see an error that the email is already in use, follow the steps in Shell Accounts to resolve it.
