If you are not seeing the option to take attendance for an event, it is usually due to one of the settings below.
1. Attendance Tracking is not enabled
Attendance Tracking must be turned on at the Calendar Settings level.
Go to Calendar Settings from the gear icon on the Calendar page.
Confirm that Enable Attendance Tracking is selected.
If Attendance Tracking is off, the option to take attendance will not appear on events.
2. The event is not set to Collect RSVP
Attendance is only available for events that Collect RSVP.
Open the event.
Check whether Collect RSVP is enabled.
If the event does not collect RSVPs, you will not see attendance tools for that event.
3. You are outside the attendance window
Your club’s Calendar Settings control when attendance can be taken.
Attendance can be taken for past events and up to one hour prior to the event start, depending on the When should Attendance Taking Be Opened? setting.
If you are trying to take attendance too early, or on an event that is not yet within that window, the option may not be available.
Check with your Sprocket Client Success team if you are unsure how this setting is configured.
4. Attendance is not available for Club Events
Attendance tracking is not supported for events with the Club event type.
If the event is a Club Event (for example, a club-wide celebration or fundraiser), you will not see the option to take attendance.
Attendance is typically used for team-based events such as practices and games.
If you need attendance for these types of activities, consider whether they should be created as a different event type.
5. You are looking in the wrong place
Make sure you are using the correct entry point for attendance:
Web Browser:
Open the event from Calendar.
Click the Ellipses (...) icon and choose Attendance & RSVPs.
Mobile App:
Open an ongoing or past event.
Tap Track Attendance.
If you open a future event that is not yet within the attendance window, the Track Attendance option will not appear.
