Sending Club Announcements

Learn how authorized staff can send club-wide announcements through the mobile app, including delivery options and where families will see the message.

Updated over a week ago

Club Announcements let authorized staff send a club-wide alert to families through the mobile app. This is best for time-sensitive updates like weather cancellations, emergency notifications, and important club-wide reminders.

Club Announcements post into the team chat for current teams, so families can find the message in the same place they already look for team communication.

Tips and best practices

  • Use Club Announcements for high-importance updates that every team needs to see.

  • Keep messages short and specific. Include what is changing, when it takes effect, and what families should do next.

  • If you are sending by SMS, save it for urgent situations to reduce message fatigue.

Troubleshooting

Why it happens: The user does not have the permissions required to send club-wide announcements.
How to fix it: Confirm the user’s role and permissions. If needed, have a club admin update access.

Issue: Families say they did not receive the announcement.
Why it happens: Push notifications may be turned off on the device, or the message was only sent to team chats and not as SMS or email.
