The Sprocket mobile app is designed to keep schedules, messages, and club content in one place for families and staff. Depending on your role (Club Admin, Director, Coach, Team Manager, or Member or Parent), you may see different tabs, quick actions, and tools, especially if you also have players in the club.
What’s the difference between the Home, Calendar, Messages, Club, and More tabs?
Home: Role-based landing page with quick access to your teams, key alerts (when applicable), and role-specific quick actions.
Calendar: A unified calendar that combines events across all teams you’re connected to (as a staff member and/or parent), plus club events and other event types your club uses.
Messages: A unified inbox where you can view and filter Team chats and Staff chats, and (if enabled for your role) send emails.
Club: Club-wide content and resources that vary by role (Admin resources, Coach resources, Parent resources, etc.).
More: Account and preference settings (profile, privacy, registrations, tickets, wallet, invoices, team colors), plus Info links like Help Center and Contact Us.
Why do I see toggles like Admin, Coach, or Member at the top?
If your login has multiple roles (for example, you’re a coach and also a parent in the club), Sprocket lets you toggle between staff and member experiences using the same account. This keeps everything tied to one login while still showing the right tools for each role.
Why can’t I reply in my team’s chat or start direct messages?
Your club may have Roster Visibility turned off for that team (set on web under Teams > Manage Teams). When roster visibility is off:
Staff can still post messages in the Team Channel.
Parents or players will see the Team Channel as view-only and cannot reply or start direct message threads.
Where do I find a combined schedule across all my teams?
Use the Calendar tab in the bottom navigation. This is the unified calendar experience and is intended for users managing multiple teams (as staff and/or parents).
Where do I find a combined inbox across all my teams?
Use the Messages tab in the bottom navigation. From there, you can filter:
All messages
Team messages only
Staff messages only
You can also change sorting (for example, switching between category-style organization and recency, depending on what your app version shows).
How do I change my notification settings?
You typically have three levels of control:
Global push notification settings (More tab → Notification Preferences → Push Notifications) to turn categories on or off (for example, Team Chats, Direct Messages, Club Announcements, and event-related notifications).
Mute specific threads (open a thread → tap the bell icon → choose a mute duration).
Director team notification preferences (where available) to opt into notifications by team via their Admin experience.
Can my player have their own login?
Players can have their own access only if they meet your club’s requirements (13+ and invited by a parent or guardian). Player accounts are intentionally limited to player-appropriate access (primarily team visibility and communication).
How do I update my mobile app to the latest version?
iOS (iPhone or iPad)
Open the App Store.
Tap your profile icon (top right).
Scroll to see available updates, then tap Update next to Sprocket (or Update All).
You can also enable automatic app updates in iOS settings so apps update in the background.
Android
Open the Google Play Store.
Tap your profile icon (top right).
Tap Manage apps & device → under “Updates available,” tap See details.
Tap Update next to Sprocket (or Update all).
To enable auto-updates, go to Play Store Settings → Network preferences → Auto-update apps, then choose your preferred option.
How do I log out?
Go to the More tab, scroll to the bottom, and select Log Out. Many clubs prefer staff and household access tied to the same login so you can easily toggle between staff and member views without maintaining separate accounts.
FAQs
Why does my app look different from someone else’s?
The mobile app experience changes based on role and permissions. Staff, parents, and players may see different tabs, quick actions, and tools.
Can I use one login for both staff and household access?
Yes. If your account has multiple roles, you can toggle between Admin, Coach, or Member views using the same login.
Why am I not seeing certain tools or quick actions?
Your access depends on your assigned role and permissions. If something is missing, confirm you are in the correct role view or contact your club to review permissions.
What should I do if something in the app is not working correctly?
First, confirm you are using the latest version of the app. If the issue continues, use the Contact Us link in the More tab to reach your club or Sprocket Sports Technical Support.
