The Messages tab pulls all of your conversations into one place, so you do not have to open each team separately to find a thread. When you have multiple teams or staff chats, the built-in filters and sorting tools make it easier to quickly locate the message you need.

Before you start
What you see in Messages depends on your role and what teams you are connected to.
Team message threads and staff chats may appear together unless you filter them.
Step-by-step instructions
Filter messages by type
At the top-left of the Messages tab, use the filter buttons to control which conversations you see:
All: Shows both team message threads and staff chats.
Team: Shows team-related message threads only.
Staff: Shows staff chats only.
Tap the filter you want and the list will update automatically.
Sort your message list
At the top-right of the Messages tab, use the sorting option to change how conversations are organized:
Categories: Groups conversations by type so you can scan by category.
Recent: Sorts conversations by the most recent activity.
Switching between these views can help when you remember either the type of thread you need (Categories) or when it was last used (Recent).
Tips and best practices
Use Staff when you are trying to find an internal staff conversation quickly.
Use Team when you are looking for a specific team’s Team Chat thread.
Use Recent if you are responding to a message that came in recently.
Use Categories if you have many teams and want to scan the list more efficiently.
