Before you start
Staff access is required to start new threads and message teams from staff view.
Roster visibility impacts parent participation in team chats. If roster visibility is off, parents can view team chat messages but cannot reply or start direct message threads.
Step-by-step instructions
Mobile app steps (staff)
At the top of the Home screen, tap your staff view (Coach or Team Manager).
Under Your Teams, choose one of the following:
Tap the chat bubble icon next to the team to open the Team Chat thread.
Tap the team name to open the team, then go to Messages.
Select an existing chat thread, or tap Start a New Thread.
Select your recipients, then tap Next in the top-right corner.
Type your message, then tap the blue arrow to send.
Web browser steps (staff)
On your Teams dashboard, click the caret (v) next to the program to locate your team.
Choose one of the following:
Click the chat bubble icon to jump to messaging.
Click the team name, then open the Communications tab.
Select an existing chat thread, or click Chat to start a new one.
Select your recipients, then click Next.
Type your message, then click Send.
Where parents find team chats (mobile app)
