Test accounts are a helpful way to practice workflows, validate settings, and troubleshoot issues without using a real family’s account. You’ll create the user the same way you would any other member, then flag them as a Test User from their profile.

Common issues to watch for
Before you start
You must be an admin with access to Users and the Manage Users page.
Use an email address you can access for testing. Avoid using a real family’s email.
Step 1: Create the user
Create the user using the same process outlined in Setting Up an Account on Behalf of a User.
Once you save the initial user details, the system will automatically take you to the user’s profile page. You do not need to search for the user afterward.
Step 2: Flag the account as a test user
From the user’s profile page, stay on the Profile tab.
In the Settings section, check the box labeled Test User.
Select Save to apply the change.
At this point, the user is flagged as a test account.
Best practices for using test accounts
Use test accounts for internal validation, staff training, and troubleshooting.
Keep naming consistent so they are easy to spot later (for example, including “Test” in the name).
Troubleshooting
You cannot find the Test User checkbox
Confirm you are on the user’s profile page and that your role has permission to manage users.
