Player Tiers are a simple way to group players into categories during tryouts, like Local, Regional, and National. Once tiers are set up for a tryout registration, you can assign them to players in bulk from the player pool view.
Unlike ratings, rankings, and player evaluations, tiers are not staff specific. When one staff member updates a player’s tier, it updates for all staff.

Before you begin
Tiers must already exist for the tryout registration. If you do not see tier options, confirm they are set up in How to Configure Player Tiers.
A player can only be in one tier at a time. Assigning a new tier replaces the existing tier.
Build tiers on web (assign tiers to players)
Step 1: Open the tryout registration
In the left navigation, select Tryouts.
Open the correct tryout registration.
Step 2: Filter to the player pool you want to manage
Use the Player Pools filter to select the pool you are working with.
Click Search.
Step 3: Assign tiers from the Tier column
In the player pool table, click the Assign Player Tiers button.
Select the tier dropdown for a player.
Choose the correct tier (example: Local, Regional, National).
Repeat for each player you want to update.
Step 4: Save your changes
Click Save when you are finished.
Tip: If you need to discard changes before saving, click Cancel.
Build tiers in the mobile app (assign tiers to players)
Step 1: Open the player pool
Open the tryout registration.
Tap Player Pools in the bottom navigation.
Tap the player pool you want to manage.
Step 2: Open Assign Player Tiers
Tap Assign Player Tiers.
This opens the Assign Tiers screen.
Step 3: Assign tiers for each player
Use Search Players to find a player quickly.
Optional: Use Sort to reorder the player list.
If available, use Tryout Dates to filter to a specific session.
For each player:
Tap the dropdown next to Tier.
Select the correct tier.
Step 4: Close when finished
Tap Close when you are done.
If you run into issues
If no tiers appear in the dropdown, confirm tiers were created for that tryout registration in How to Configure Player Tiers.
If many players show Not Tier-Assigned, confirm you are working in the correct tryout registration and player pool.
