To take attendance and evaluate players in Tryouts, staff need two things set up:
Tryouts permissions (so they can access Tryouts tools)
Player Pool assignments (so they can see and evaluate the right players)
Both are required. If a coach or director has permissions but is not assigned to the correct player pool, they may not see players for rating and evaluations.

Before you begin
Permissions are managed from Staff > Roles & Permissions.
Player pool access is managed per tryout registration from Tryouts > Assign Staff.
Part 1: Grant Tryouts permissions to staff
Use this when a staff member cannot access Tryouts tools like attendance, ratings, or evaluations.
In the left navigation, go to Staff.
Select Roles & Permissions.
Select the staff member or staff members you want to update.
Click Assign Permissions.
Choose the appropriate Tryout Admin Permissions.
Click Save.
Part 2: Assign staff to player pools within a tryout registration
Even with permissions, staff must be assigned to the correct player pools to rate, rank, and evaluate players for that registration.
In the left navigation, go to Tryouts.
Open the tryout registration you want to manage.
Click Assign Staff.
Select the staff member or staff members you want to assign.
Click Assign.
Select the appropriate Tryout Pools (player pools).
Click Save.
Repeat this for each tryout registration where staff should evaluate players.
Common access checklist
If a coach, director, or manager cannot take attendance or evaluate players, confirm the following:
They have the correct Tryout Admin Permissions under Staff > Roles & Permissions.
They are assigned to the correct Tryout Pools under Tryouts > Assign Staff for that specific registration.
If you run into issues
If a staff member still cannot see the right players after updates, double check you edited the correct tryout registration and selected the correct player pools. Player pool assignments do not automatically carry across registrations.
