Getting Started with the Mobile App

Learn how to download the mobile app, log in for the first time, create an account if needed, and confirm staff access based on your role.

Intro

The mobile app helps your club stay connected with families and staff in one place. Families use it to follow schedules, view team info, and receive updates. Staff members can do all of that, plus access additional staff-only tools based on their permissions.

Use this article when you want to install the app, log in for the first time, or help a staff member confirm they have the right access.

Before you start

  • The app uses the same login as your club’s website.

  • If you do not have an account yet, you will create it through your club website, not inside the app.

  • Staff access is tied to your user profile. If you can log in but do not see staff options, your account may not be set up as staff yet.

Step-by-step instructions

Download and install the app

  1. Use the link that matches your device:

    • Apple App Store: Download Sprocket Sports

    • Google Play Store: Download Sprocket Sports

  2. After you install it, open the app.

Log in to your account

Navigation path: Open the app → Log In

  1. Tap Log In.

  2. Enter the email address and password you use for your club account.

  3. Follow any prompts on-screen if your club has additional login security enabled.

If you do not have an account yet

You might see a link on the login screen that says Don’t have an account? If you tap it, the app will guide you to the right next step based on your situation.

Navigation path: Open the app → Don’t have an account?

Choose the option that best fits:

Option 1: You received an email invitation

This is the most common path for staff members and invited families.

Navigation path: Don’t have an account? → I received an email invitation… → Find your invitation

  1. Enter the same email address that received the invitation.

  2. Tap Next.

  3. Follow the prompts provided to complete setup.

Tip: If the email address does not match the invitation, the app will not be able to locate it.

Option 2: You are a current member of a club using Sprocket Sports

If you already created an account through your club website, you can log into the app using that same username and password.

  1. Return to the login screen.

  2. Tap Log In.

  3. Enter your existing username and password.

Option 3: You are not currently a member of a club using Sprocket Sports

If you need to create a brand new account, you will do that through your club website.

What to expect:

  • The app will display instructions for creating an account on the web.

  • After your account is created, return to the app and log in using your new username and password.

Confirm staff access

After you log in, the app experience changes based on your role.

Families and members will see the core features they need, like schedules, team info, and club updates.

Staff members will see additional options that are not available to families. These depend on the permissions assigned to their account.

If you expect to have staff access, confirm the following:

  • You are logged in with the correct email address.

  • You are viewing the correct club if you belong to more than one organization.

  • You can see staff-only areas of the app.

Tips and best practices

  • Staff should use the same email address that was used for their staff invitation or staff profile.

  • If someone is helping multiple households or teams, confirm you are in the correct club before sending messages.

  • If a user gets stuck during setup, have them return to the login screen and try again from Don’t have an account?

FAQs

I’m having trouble creating or accessing my account. What should I check?

If you tapped “Don’t have an account?” and are unsure which option to choose, select the invitation option if you received an email invite. If you already created an account on your club website, return to the login screen and sign in with your existing credentials.

If the “Find your invitation” screen cannot locate your invite, make sure you enter the exact email address that received the invitation. If the invite was sent to the wrong email, ask a club admin to resend it to the correct address.

If you need to create a brand new account, you will do that through your club website, not inside the app. After your account is created, return to the app and log in.

Is the mobile app login different from the website login?

No. The app uses the same email address and password as your club’s website.

I can log in, but I do not see staff features. Why?

Staff access is tied to your user profile. Confirm you are logged in with the correct email address and viewing the correct club. If needed, ask a club admin to verify your staff permissions.

I forgot my password. What should I do?

Use the Forgot Password option on the login screen, then follow the reset steps in the email.
