When to use this
Use these steps when a player’s amount due needs to be split between two parents/guardians, such as a 50/50 split or any other percentage split.
Sprocket lets you edit and add payments from the player’s Payments tab. A common approach is:
Update the existing installments to reflect Parent 1’s share
Add new installments for Parent 2’s share
If the player is already registered
Step 1: Edit existing payments for Parent 1
Go to the player’s profile and select the Payments tab.
For each installment, select the ellipsis ( ... ) on the right and choose Edit.
Update the amount due to Parent 1’s portion (example: half of the original amount for a 50/50 split).
Select Save.
Repeat for each installment that Parent 1 should pay.
Step 2: Add payments for Parent 2
On the player’s Payments tab, select + Add Payment.
Fill out the payment details (including the due date).
Enter the amount due for Parent 2’s portion.
Repeat until Parent 2’s full share is scheduled.
Step 3: Review your work
Select the Programs tab.
Compare the amounts due by date to confirm the schedule looks correct.
Confirm the total scheduled amount matches the program price shown at the top of the registration so everything adds up correctly.
Note: After the schedule is finalized, Parent 1 and Parent 2 should each attach their preferred payment method to their assigned installments. Once a payment method is attached, the Payment Status typically updates to Scheduled.
If the player has not registered yet
If the family has not registered yet, build the split household plan in advance using Custom Payment Plans. This lets the parents select the plan at checkout.
Keep in mind: Sprocket can collect only one payment at the time of registration, so make sure your plan is structured accordingly.
If you run into issues, the fastest first check is that the edited and newly added installments still total to the registration price and that each installment is assigned to the intended payer.
