Can You Change Your Own Staff Roles & Permissions

Learn why staff members cannot change their own roles or permissions in Sprocket and how to request access changes through a Club Admin or Client Success.

Updated over a week ago

No. Staff members cannot change their own roles or permissions in Sprocket.

Why this is not allowed

Roles and permissions control what someone can view and manage in your club account. For security, and to prevent staff from giving themselves additional access beyond what they were granted, Sprocket does not allow users to edit their own roles or permissions.

Because of this, staff can view their own staff profile, but they will not see the Roles & Permissions tab when they are viewing themselves.

How to request access changes

If a staff member needs additional access:

  • Ask another Club Admin to update their roles or permissions.

  • If there are no other club admins available, contact your Sprocket Client Success Team for help.
