Staff Credentialing with Ankored

Learn how to enable Ankored for your club, require the Ankored compliance flow in a Staff Credentialing template, and understand what staff and admins will see.

Updated over a week ago

If your club uses Ankored, you can require staff to complete an additional safety and compliance flow as part of credentialing. Staff will fill out your Sprocket credentialing form first, then they will be directed to Ankored to complete their background check and any required safety tasks.

Before you start

This is available on the web browser only.

Ankored must be enabled for your club before you can use it with Staff Credentialing.

If you are interested in the Ankored integration, contact your Client Success Team for more information.

Step 1: Enable Ankored in Club Options

Ankored must be enabled in your Club Options. This is turned on with help from your Client Success Team.

Once Ankored is enabled, you will see Ankored-related options available when building Staff Credentialing Templates.

Step 2: Require Ankored in a Staff Credentialing Template

  1. In the left navigation menu, go to Staff > Credentialing.

  2. Create a new credentialing template or open an existing one to edit.

  3. Locate the checkbox labeled Require Ankored Compliance Flow.

  4. Check the box, then save your template.

You will see help text above the checkbox that explains what this does:
“Check this box if you want staff to complete their safety and compliance requirements in Ankored as part of the onboarding process. When enabled, users will be directed to Ankored after finishing their credentialing form.”

What staff see when Ankored is required

  1. Staff are prompted to complete credentialing
Once the credentialing template is active, staff will see an alert banner on their dashboard letting them know credentialing is required.

  2. Staff complete the Sprocket credentialing form first
Staff complete your credentialing form as normal, including any Sprocket profile fields, waivers, uploads, or certifications you configured.

  3. Staff confirm and submit on the Review tab
On the Review tab, staff will see a confirmation statement that includes Ankored expectations, such as:
“I agree that all the information I provided above is correct.
I also agree that once I save this form, I will be asked to complete a Background Check. The confirmation step will display information and instructions to complete your background check through [your club’s] third party vendor.”

  4. Staff are directed to Ankored for the next steps
After staff click Complete, they will be sent over to Ankored and will receive an email from Ankored to create their account in Ankored as well as see the compliance tasks they need to complete.

This page explains that:

  • The next step is completing the background check in Ankored

  • The background check is completed through Ankored’s background check partner (for example, Yardstik)

  • Staff will receive emails directly from Ankored or the background check provider with results and next steps

  • Clubs may include a contact person for questions if staff run into issues

  • The page will also call out that completing the Ankored safety check is required

If staff do not go to Ankored right away

If a staff member leaves the confirmation page without going to Ankored, they will still be reminded to complete the Ankored portion of credentialing.

They will see a banner prompting them to finish the Ankored steps, with a Complete Now button. Selecting Complete Now will direct them back to the Ankored login page so they can continue.

Where the process continues

After a staff member submits the Sprocket credentialing form, all remaining steps are completed in Ankored. Staff will complete their background check and safety requirements in the Ankored platform.

Admins can track completion in two places:

  • The credentialing template Submissions view (for overall progress by template)

  • The staff member’s profile, which includes an Ankored Status field that displays the current status coming from Ankored

Note: For more information on the statutes and what they mean, please refer to our article called How to Track, Review, and Verify Staff Credentialing Forms.

If you run into issues

If you do not see Require Ankored Compliance Flow in your credentialing template, confirm Ankored has been enabled in Club Options.

If staff are unsure what to do next after submitting the Sprocket form, direct them to their dashboard and have them use the button to open Ankored in a new tab.

If staff have issues completing background check or compliance steps, they should follow the instructions provided in the Ankored flow and contact the club point person listed on the confirmation page.
