Before you begin

Attendance is taken per tryout registration and session. Make sure you are viewing the correct tryout registration for the date you are running.

Take attendance on web

Step 1: Open Take Attendance

  1. In the left navigation, select Tryouts.

  2. Open the tryout registration you are running.

  3. Select Take Attendance.

  4. If there are multiple attendance sessions configured, select the correct Session.

You will see a list of players, along with columns like Player Pool, jersey number, position, and an attendance control on the right.

Step 2: Use filters to find players faster

If you have a large list, use the filters at the top of the page to narrow what you are viewing before checking players in.

Common filters include:

  • Last Name to search for a specific player

  • Birth Year, Gender, and Grade to narrow to an age group

  • Attendance Status to show only players who are attended or not yet attended

  • Test Players to include or exclude test records

After setting your filters, click Search to refresh the list.

Tip: If you want to reduce what shows in the table, use Selected Fields to choose which columns are displayed.

Step 3: Mark a player as attended

To check a player in, select Attended on the far right of that player’s row.

Tip: The Attended button marks the player as attending that session.

Step 4: Add jersey number and primary position (optional, but recommended)

You can add details while checking the player in by opening the Player Information window.

You can open this window in two ways:

  • Select the pencil icon to open the Player Information window without changing attendance

  • Select Attended to mark the player as attended and open the same Player Information window

In the Player Information window, you can confirm and or update:

  • Primary Position (useful if you want to group or evaluate players by position)

  • Tryout Jersey Number

Jersey number formatting tips

  • Jersey numbers can be alphanumeric.

  • Enter numeric digits first, then any other characters to indicate color or group (example: 12B).

  • To ensure rating pages sort by jersey number accurately:

    • Use the same number of numeric digits for all jersey numbers.

      • Example: use 01, 02, 34, 99 instead of 1, 2, 34, 99.

Step 5: Export attendance data (optional)

To export the attendance list and player details:

  1. Select Actions.

  2. Select Export.

This exports your attendance data to a spreadsheet format that you can open in Excel.

Take attendance in the mobile app

Step 1: Open the tryout registration

  1. In the mobile app, go to the your Staff (Coach, Director, Team Manager) tab.

  2. Tap the Tryout registration you are working.

  3. Tap Take Attendance in the bottom navigation.

Step 2: Mark a player as attended

  1. Tap the radio button next to the player to mark them as attended.

In the Player Information window, you can confirm and or update:

  • Primary Position

  • Tryout Jersey Number

Tap the profile image to take a tryout headshot.

Note: Capturing a tryout headshot is a mobile app only feature.
