Draft pages allow you to make changes to a page without impacting the live version. This is especially helpful when making multiple updates or reviewing changes before publishing.

If you are creating a brand-new page, it automatically starts as a Draft.

What You’ll Find in This Article

  • Two ways to create a draft from a published page

  • What you can edit in a draft

  • How to safely publish updates

  • How to restore previous versions

When Should I Use a Draft?

Use a draft when you want to:

  • Make multiple updates and publish them at once

  • Review changes before they go live

  • Avoid editing a live page directly

If you see a yellow banner at the top of a page, you are viewing a live page.

Option 1: Create a Draft from the Pages List

  1. Go to Website & App > Pages.

  2. Find the page you want to update.

  3. Select the three-dot menu on the right.

  4. Select Create Draft.

This creates a draft version that can be edited without impacting the live page.

Option 2: Create a Draft from Inside the Page Editor

  1. Go to Website & App > Pages.

  2. Open the published page.

If you see a yellow warning banner indicating you are editing a live page:

  1. Select the link in the banner to create a draft.

You will now be editing the draft version instead of the published version.

Manage and Edit Your Draft Page

Once in a draft, you can update it like any other page.

Add New Sections or Content

  • Select Add a Section.

  • Choose a layout.

  • Add content blocks.

Edit an Existing Section

  1. Hover over the section.

  2. Select the pencil icon.

  3. Choose one of the following:

  • Edit Section

  • Save Section

  • Move Up

  • Move Down

  • Copy Row

  • Delete Row

Update Setup Settings While in Draft

In the Setup tab, you can update:

  • Custom URL

  • Category

  • Permissions

  • SEO

Select Save after updating Setup fields.

Publish Your Draft

When ready:

  1. Select Preview to confirm changes.

  2. Select Publish Draft to make updates live.

Publishing replaces the previous version.

Restore a Previous Version

Each time you publish a draft, the prior version is saved in History.

To access it:

  1. Go to Website & App > Pages.

  2. Open the page.

  3. Select the History tab.

  4. Restore the version you want.

Changes Not Showing? (Troubleshooting)

If updates are not visible:

  • Confirm you published the draft.

  • Confirm you are not still editing the draft version.

  • Confirm permissions are not restricting visibility.

  • Refresh the page or clear browser cache.
