How to Create a New Page

Your club website is built using Pages, located under Website & App in the left navigation menu. Pages allow you to create public-facing content such as program marketing pages, club information, staff profiles, and more.

All new pages begin in Draft mode and must be published before they become visible.

What You’ll Find in This Article

  • Where to create a new page

  • How to choose a template

  • How to add sections and content blocks

  • How to configure permissions and SEO

  • How to preview and publish

Before You Start

  • You need access to Website & App in your staff role.

  • New pages are not visible until published.

If you do not see Pages in your left navigation, your staff role may not have website permissions.

Step 1: Go to Pages

  1. In your club admin, go to Website & App.

  2. Select Pages.

You’ll see a list of existing pages with:

  • Status (Published or Draft)

  • Last saved date

  • Author

If you are updating an existing page instead of creating a new one, open the page and create a draft first.

Step 2: Create a New Page

  1. Select + Add New in the top right.

  2. Choose a template.

Choose a Template

Blank Pages

  • Blank with Banner (recommended starting point)

  • Blank Page

Club Page Templates

Prebuilt layouts for common page types such as:

  • FAQ

  • Contact

  • Staff List

  • Facilities

  • Blog-style layouts

If unsure, start with Blank with Banner. Layout and content can always be adjusted later.

Step 3: Configure Page Setup and Permissions

After creating the page, open the Setup tab in the right panel. This controls page behavior, visibility, and SEO.

Setup Fields

  • Is Featured – Displays the page in Featured Content areas (Web Dashboard and Mobile App).

  • Custom URL – Sets the URL slug. Must be unique and contain only lowercase letters and numbers with no spaces.

  • Category – Used when grouping Featured pages.

  • SEO – Configure search engine settings (Meta Title and Meta Description).

Select Save after making changes in Setup.

Set Permissions (Who Can See This Page)

Expand the Permissions section to control visibility.

  • Private Page – Makes the page visible only to logged-in users.

  • Auto-Assign to Child Site(s) – Applies the page automatically to child sites (if enabled).

  • Assign to Roles – Restrict access by user role.

  • Assign to Teams – Limit access to specific teams.

  • Assign to Genders – Restrict by gender.

  • Assign to Birth Years – Restrict by birth year.

If a page is not appearing for someone, check both the Private Page toggle and assigned permissions.

Configure SEO

Under the SEO section:

  • Meta Description – A short summary shown in search results (recommended under ~160 characters).

  • Meta Title – The page title shown in browser tabs and search results.

If left blank, Sprocket will default to the Page Title.

Step 4: Build Your Page Content

After selecting a template, the page opens in Draft mode.

Add a Section

  1. Select Add a Section on the page canvas.

  2. Under the Content tab > Blocks, choose how the section is organized.

Layout Options

Blank Columns

  • Create custom column widths.

Layouts

  • Quick combinations of image + text.

Content Options

  • Use when you want content to be 100% width.

Add Content Blocks

After choosing a layout, add content blocks such as:

  • Text

  • Image or Image Carousel

  • Button

  • List of Links

Repeat Add a Section until your page is complete.

Step 5: Preview and Publish

  1. Select Preview to see how the page will appear live.

  2. Select Publish Draft when ready.

Important: Publishing makes the page live, but it will not be visible in your website navigation until you add it there.

Page Not Showing? (Troubleshooting)

If your page is not visible:

  • Confirm it is published (not in Draft status).

  • Confirm it has been added to your Navigation.

  • Confirm permissions are not restricting access.

  • Confirm the Custom URL saved successfully.
