If you only need to create one or two teams, adding them manually is usually the quickest option. You can do this from Teams Setup, or directly inside a program that uses teams.
If you are setting up a large number of teams, importing is typically faster. See Importing/Exporting Teams for bulk setup.

When to use import instead
Manual setup is best when:
You are adding a small number of teams
You are making a quick correction during the season
You prefer not to work in a spreadsheet
Import is best when:
You are creating many teams at once
You want to standardize naming or levels in bulk
If you run into any issues
If you do not see your team after saving:
Check any filters on Teams Setup (especially inactive filters)
Refresh the page and search by team name
Confirm the program is configured to use traditional teams
FAQs
Can I add a team directly inside a Program?
Yes. If the program is configured to use teams, you can add a team from the Teams/Groups step.
When should I use import instead of adding manually?
Import is best when creating many teams at once or standardizing naming and levels in bulk.
Why don’t I see the team after saving?
Check filters in Teams Setup, refresh the page, and confirm the program is set up to use traditional teams.
Can I mark a team inactive when creating it manually?
Yes. If the Inactive field is available, selecting it will place the team into an inactive state.
