Roles and permissions control what staff members can access in your club. You can update access for one person at a time, or make changes in bulk across multiple staff members.

Before you start
This is available on the web browser only.
If you are having trouble finding a person in your list, reference Locate Members without Accounts to help isolate the correct staff account.
Option 1: Adjust roles and permissions for one person
In the left navigation menu, go to Users.
Click the user’s Last Name to open their profile.
Select the Roles & Permissions tab at the top.
Update the person’s Roles and/or Permissions as needed.

Click Save.
Option 2: Make permission changes in bulk
Use this option when you need to assign or remove permissions for multiple staff members at once.
In the left navigation menu, go to Staff and then Roles & Permissions.
Use filters to narrow the staff list by Role, Assigned Permission, or Not Assigned Permission, then click Search.
Check the box next to each staff member who needs a change.
Choose the action you want:
Assign Permission(s)
Unassign Permission(s)
Unassign ALL Roles & Permissions
If you are assigning or unassigning specific permissions (not removing everything), multi-select the permissions you want to apply, then click Save.
Important note about “Unassign ALL Roles & Permissions”
Selecting Unassign ALL Roles & Permissions removes every role and permission from the selected staff members. After that:
They will no longer appear in the staff list.
They will no longer have staff access.
If you run into issues
If you cannot locate the staff member you need to update, start with Locate Members without Accounts to ensure you are working with the correct profile.
If a staff member disappears from the staff list after a bulk update, confirm whether Unassign ALL Roles & Permissions was selected.

Where do I update roles and permissions for a single person?
Go to Users, open the user’s profile, then use the Roles & Permissions tab and click Save.
When should I use bulk updates?
Use bulk updates when you need to assign or remove permissions for multiple staff members at once from Staff > Roles & Permissions.
What happens if I select Unassign ALL Roles & Permissions?
All roles and permissions are removed. The person will no longer appear in the staff list and will no longer have staff access.
